Barry John; CEO
Barry John is the chief executive officer
of two growing and progressive vending businesses, Vendomatic
Inc. and Amuseomatic Inc. He started in the
vending business in 1960 by operating a few machines from his home
basement in Kingwood, WV, now celebrating over 50 years in the bulk
vending and entertainment vending businesses, the operations continue as
a family-owned affair. Barry has branched into other endeavors over the
years and currently operates a group of retail stores while mentoring his
family member president to run day to day operations in the vending
businesses. Over the years the vending businesses have been successfully
operated and have grown to be among the largest bulk vendors with a
dominant position in the eastern part of the USA. Barry often reflects on
the many changes that have occurred since he gained his initial major
account locations with Pizza Hut back in 1965.
Barry has always been a loyal family
person who is proud of his parents and their Lebanese heritage. He is the
father of four children and resides in Maryland, which is the home base
for the vending businesses. He has maintained an active role in the
National Bulk Vending Association starting with membership in 1963,
service as a board member, and a winner of a Bulk Vendor of the Year
award from the association. Barry has supported various charities
including Hugs Not Drugs, St Jude's Children Hospital, and the American
Cancer Society.
Barry is known by friends and
associates as a "can do" person. His optimistic outlook has
served him well by focusing on what can be accomplished versus spending
time reviewing things outside his control. His steadfast vision to
operate the vending businesses through use of clean, quality equipment,
best available merchandise, and fair commissions to partner clients have
resulted in the successful operations that he directs.
